Oakland PedalFest August 18

My pal Whymcycle Pete has been invited to display his Whymcycles and other pedal-powered fun at the annual PedalFest at Jack London Square in Oakland, CA, on Saturday August 18. "Other pedal-powered fun" means I'll bring a couple of my Kinetic Sculpture Racing vehicles -- which I also use on the Playa.

We've been offered an obscene amount of space to display and demonstrate our pedal-vehicles -- 30.000 square feet was mentioned. Indoors. So I'm thinking we ought to round up more people who have cool pedal-vehicles.

I already know that many bicycle-related groups will be there. And I plan to contact the Kinetic Sculpture Racing crowd. But who might be out there, unaffiliated, who would like to join in?

Or can you simply tell us something about this PedalFest? I have not been to this event before.

Well, this thread dropped like a rock, but in fairness I must update it.
Turns out PedalFest wants only regular bicycles, not large pedal-vehicles. It seems to be a matter of the philosophy of the event. I have no doubt it will be a splendid event for regular bicycles. My buddy Peter will be there with close to 50 antique and otherwise weird bicycles and tricycles.

According to the map I received of the event site, the WhiskeyDrome will be there. Do ride the WhiskeyDrome if you are a somewhat regular bicyclist. I expected it would be difficult to get up on the wall, but it turned out the bicycle did not seem to know the difference between the flat floor and the angled wall.
