Long Island burn

I couldn't go this year, so I had my own burn. Like the Nevada man ours had a hard time getting burned. Coincidence? I think not. The word-of-mouth crowd on the ocean beach numbered about 75-100 on a shitty, cold and windy night. But everybody was talking about "next year." I plan to go to BRC then head back to NY and maybe at about the last day of summer have a local burn. The only thing I'd do differently would be to bring way more kerosene!
