Announcing the JUNE Sac Valley Burners Meet-Up!

For the June Meet-up, we're returning to The Old Tavern.

There's a big patio area in the back, an air-conditioned main bar, & friendly-cool bartenders. The Old Tavern has a good variety of beers on tap and mixed drinks for a reasonable cost. The kitchen has a decent, simple menu to satisfy your munch cravings.

The Old Tavern is located near the intersection of 20th and O street in Midtown. There's an adjacent parking lot with security lighting. There are secure racks to lock your bike to in front. There are lightrail stops at R & 16th and R & 23rd within easy walking distance if you want to ride the train.

You don't have to be on the Playa to meet some amazing fellow burners that live close by! We are creating our own Burner-y community where we live, year 'round. For instance...

If you're new to the community, introduce yourself and say "hello"...we're a friendly bunch. Last month, we filled up the patio/courtyard and some of the chairs inside the tavern.

Come find out what's cooking with the local CORE art project, the Playa Queen! Want to participate? Come and talk to the CORE folks. Find out when and where the building workshop days are. Come swing a hammer or grab a paint brush! We're building a steamboat!
