We are hosting an Unofficial decompression event Oct 2,3 and 4th, called Octoberfish in Charleston, OR! This years festival is featuring, for the first time ever, an effigy burn on the beach, beaches! The 25ft driftwood Turtle will burn beside the beautiful pacific ocean on the night of Oct 3rd! Dj's and fire spinners highly encouraged to come join, as well as all other performance artists, acroyogis, clowns, or freakshow folk! Free Camping is available on Bastendorff Beach, the very beach where the burn will occur!
Additional events, Not to be missed:
Oct 2-- 7pm "Taking My Parnents to Burning Man" at the Egyptian Theatre in Coos Bay with Parade to follow film. Drummers, dancers and fire-spinners encouraged to join parade!
Oct 3-- Charleston Boat Basin- Daytime festival with many features-- Apple cider press, live music all day, Kaleidoscope Yoga, Vaudeville Magic Show, Henna, Arts and Crafts
AFTER DARK-- The Turtle Burns!! Bastendorff Beach-- All are welcome, free camping on the beach! Join us for this effigy burn! DJS, Firespinners, acrobats, hoopers, etc highly encouraged!!
Oct 4th-- Recovery and Trash Hash-- Charleston Boat Basin

We encourage all burners interested to come and join us for this wonderful decompression on the beach! Event is entirely free! and Open the everyone, thus providing an excellent opportunity to expose and reveal burner culture! There is free camping for the entire weekend on Bastendorff Beach.
