Post by damon » Sun May 15, 2005 12:58 am

Hello burning family!

My name is Maurizio and i am one of the two directors
of "Short cut to Nirvana: Kumbh Mela"
www.melafilms.com (check the trailer!)

Me and my friend/co-director Nick have 6 and 5
consecutive years at BRC and I work for the video
documentation team since it's inceptions.

Hopefully you heard about the film thru other burners
community in cities we opened...
Anyway...
We'll open the film in Chicago on Friday the 13th at
the Landmark Century Centre cinema.

here are the details...
Please diffuse to all mailing lists and friends...

ALSO..Let's put together a nice burner gathering and
have a drink after a show (of choice from the
community) while either Nick or i are in town. We'll
LOVE to meet each and everyone of you and share playa
dust stories around a glass of intoxicant...
Anyone up to organize this gathering of minds and
bodies???

What: "Short cut to Nirvana: Kumbh Mela"
Where: In CHICAGO at the CENTURY CENTRE CINEMA Check
local listings or www.melafilms.com for show times.
When: From MAY 13th, one week ONLY exclusive
engagement
(unless you bring the crowds.)
Why: Because the Mela ground looks A LOT like BRC...
:-)
..and cause it is a GREAT movie from fellow burners
that are self distributing it and self financing it...
we need your support...

SHORT CUT TO NIRVANA: KUMBH MELA
Director Maurizio Benazzo OR Nick Day will be present
at the Friday and Saturday evening shows for Q&A's.

An exhilarating, insightful, uplifting and often
hilarious journey of discovery to the biggest event in
history - the Kumbh Mela. Held every 12 years where
the holy Ganges and Yamuna rivers meet, this
incredible festival brings together 70 million
pilgrims and many of India's great spiritual leaders,
including the Dalai Lama.
