I found some books that might be helpful looking for any other hidden areas.
There are some modern upgrades that can be added to the traditional approaches.

Hardening and concealment are possible now.
I know someone using magnetic locks for a gunsafe closet.
And there is a sound key activated electric strike that is designed for containers, but can be adapted to anything.

A touch I expecially like is the room entrance, concealed in a hidden room, a technique used in the pyramids.
They may be intended to look like the main goodie room, so thieves stop looking.

That is so cool!

My old house had a secret attic area, that had no entrance.
I'm convinced it would have withstood any search, as the space appeared to not exist.
