mmmm grapefruit!

does anyone know of an alcohol flavored like grapefruit btw?
not meaning to drop brand names but Danzka makes a grapefruit vodka that makes a wonderful shot when freezing cold.

but why pay $$$ just squeeze some fresh grapefruit juice add some sugar or sweetening agent and add to whatever kind of liquor floats yer boat. Don't try with Yeagermeister though. Bleh.
I am a bit tied up at the moment...but if you leave your name and number.....

silken thank you for the *ahem* brand dropping. i will hunt it out. and couldn't i try to infuse vodka with the 'fruit as well. any ideas on that?

and aero, it's painfully obvious you are young, that's why you post on a board about DRUG questions to strangers and smirnoff. if you liked vodka that would not be your brand.

IMHO, Smirnoff = suck-ass koolaid.

No offense aerodrown, but it seems to me that smirnoff is for people who want to get drunk, but don't really like the taste of alcohol. Several times last year, I was hanging out with a few younger friends who like that shit. One day, I got elected to go into the store to buy all the beer and whatever kind of drink smifnoff is classified as.

I even told the convenience store clerk, who I'm sure couldn't give a rat's ass, "Uh, this is not for me. It's for my friends out in the car." I don't even want strangers thinking that I drink that crap. Just in case I ever run into them again, I don't want them thinking "Oh look! There's that guy that drinks smirnoff red. What a loser!" Just my opinion, YMMV.
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

I like Skyy myself. But it's all Russian rubbing alcohol compared to a good bourbon.

i admit that i'm young. and no, i DO NOT like the taste of alcohol. did you at first? i mean, i dont drink enough to care. and btw smirnoff ice is a flavored beer. i think it tastes like sprite and red bull. I can drink vodka & orange without much trouble, but like i said, i dont much like the taste. id rather just have weed, and underage weed is easier to acquire, but i cant come home smellin like it cuz my folks'd know. and i stopped the psychoactives i was doing after my friend died from them. so as a teenager i pretty much take what i get. beggers cant be choosers, yeh? But i dont much care what anyone thinks 'bout my choices, you like what you like and i have a different opinion. tis called being human.

Thanks Last Real Salvador Dali Rabbi Rick Burner Bro!

The feelings are mutual!

I definately do not like smirnoff, that is for sure.

Re-reading my post though, I just that perhaps I came across like I was putting aerodrown down for her tastes in beverages or giving her an unwanted lecture because of her admitted young age. Thinking about my past too, I thought, "Hmmm...I think aerodrown's right! You know what? I actually didn't like the taste of alcohol when I first started drinking."

Anyway, what you said:

B&B rocks too..

And Baileys & Frangelico...

And Woodford Reserve...

And any good rummmmm...

Try an "Apple Pie"... it's better than it sounds.
Pour half a glass of apple cider, add 1 shot Goldschlager (cinnamon schnapps) and 1 shot Buttershots (butterscotch schnapps) and heat in microwave.
Top with lots of whipped cream, sprinkle with nutmeg.
Tastes like apple pie. MMMmmmm. pie....

ring, i don't think she was speaking to you...but that's okay.

i started drinking (in the safety of my parents home: red wine and sparkling water) at a young age.

i like the taste of alcohol, and once you get older you will realize smirnoff is shite vodka.

part of the reason i am becoming an emt is to make sure 17 year olds like you don't drink yourselves out of your mind, whilst on your "psychoactives" (whatever you classify under that) and your weed, and the desert heat. that is stupidity at any age. and if you think driving over the 48 states with weed in your car at 17 or buying it at bm is a good idea because you can "pretty much take what you can get" then go for it!

Absinthe..... fun until you black out! Then it's fun the next day trying to figure out why you're wet and naked in bed next to your friend, then trying to find your underwear and look innocent before she wakes up, at which point she walks into the bathroom and goes "Holy shit! What did you do to my bathroom!?"

Uhhh.... I... don't know?

Well, if we are dropping name brands, "Glacier Potato Vodka" is my favorite. A bit more expensive, it is really smooth, made from potatoes, and doesn't taste like paint thinner! It also mixes nicely with other stuff (Diet Mountain Dew, V8 Splash, Orange Juice, et al).

I also like the various Woodchuck hard ciders. (I like their taste.)

BTW, that "Apple Pie" sounds good! I am going to have to be certain I copy the recipe! :D

P.S.: Am I the only one who feels nervous about clicking on a button labelled "Submit"?!

im not stupid enough to transport stuff across the US. i've never been drunk so "drinking myself out of my mind" wont happen. i wouldnt get to the desert, see how hot it is, then pop a few e's and forget my water. in fact, i wouldnt do e in the desert ANYWAY. the reason i posted this freakin topic is bc i thought maybe as a bonus on the playa i could TRY- and by try i dont mean get shitfaced, i mean get maybe a little buzzed- absinthe. so sod off if you think im irresponsible, because im not. i'm safer than most of you are. but yes, i would smoke pot there IF i knew i wouldnt get caught, which i heard is impossible, so i guess i wouldnt smoke it....... (if you couldnt tell, im irritated now. i car ethat yuo care, im just tired of being told how stupid what ive said sounds. im a helluva lot smarter than you all think i am.)

i never claimed to be mature. i have an iq of aproximately 135 but i hvae ZERO common sense. Yes, i would rather sit around smoking weed that get up and go to work or school, but life just doesnt work that way. alas, i dont smoke or drink (i do smoke cigarettes), i go to school EVERYday, and i work five days a week at a job i've held for three and a half years. im sorry if you think i have problems because i would like to, at some point in time, get smashed. DICK.

I'd be interested in hearing about some of the experiences you've had in the rave scene. Perhaps a new thread under the year-round forum. . .

Even better than Bartles & James, how 'bout some good ol' Boone's Farm wine!

Ummm...Strawberry Hill! Lite n' fruity bouquet. Nice effervescence. Clean pink color and excellent chuggability. The single strawberry note does lack a certain complexity though. Probably doesn't age too well either.

also, we drank the st ides fruity flavors that come in a 32 oz with a large neck to pour(or drool into). that be some quality LIQUOR!

and Cryptofishist, if you start the post i would be more than willing to reply/share some nightmare stories. i have seen the negative connotation other non ravers give when the r word is mentioned...i don't want tomatoes thrown unnecessarily.
