BEHOLD THE MIGHTY BUCKET!

Post by wmartins » Thu Aug 09, 2007 9:07 pm

Here’s a tutorial for a very special drink that I intent to prepare for my comrades. It's a free (and poor) translation from this famous webpage in Brazil (that started the Mighty Bucket tradition down here): http://www.geocities.com/corrida_de_verme/baldao.htm

Image

1° Step
Separate 2 kg of limes (about 20 units).

Image

2° Step
Cut each lime in 7 pieces (the sacred number). Let the citric acid penetrate your finger’s wounds.

Image

3° Step
Pour the limes in the Mighty Bucket.

Image

4° Step
Remove the sacred cachaça bottles from the liquid nitrogen tank (where they rested for 3 days).

Image

5° Step
Align the sacred bottles for a sexy picture.

Image

6° Step
Pour the sugar in the Mighty Bucket. And remember to repeat the great Shaolin master words: "Sometimes I am just too funky for myself", what means that a caipirinha is never too sweet.

Image

7° Step
Crush the limes, punishing them for being so sour (violating the universal law of sweetness – sourness is not allowed in Black Rock City). It is important to place the Mighty Bucket in the alkaline soil, its original place and the place where everyone will be by the end of the party.

Image

8° Step
Add "the nectar that the birds don't drink".

Image

9° Step
Don't waste your time trying to find ice at the new Artica ice sub station at 3:00 plaza. The brazilian bastards playing with that fucking bucket are consuming it as hungry grasshoppers in a biblical tale.

10° Step
BEHOLD THE MIGHTY BUCKET!

How can you tell when you've had enough of that concoction?

When you have to hold on to the playa to keep from falling off.
