Pretty cool presentation. The first part has a LOT of basic common sense especially if cooking for a larger group of people.

I would quibble on a couple of points. They discourage baking and using solar ovens. Louise has baked a pie in our Weber while camping, and one of our friends has a solar oven, and he's made pizzas from scratch (made the dough, grated the cheese - I mean from scratch) on the playa and baked them:

They also never mention canned goods for some reason. Louise and I assume we will not have access to ice, so we bring canned goods with us. One year our assumption was proved out, as the ice truck didn't make it at the end of the event. If we run out of ice, we still have meals.

Everybody's mileage varies.
