In Cannery Row, Doc muses a few times about having a beer float before he actually tries one. I dont' think it would taste very good. beer is already cold and refreshing, so I'm not sure why... he had to try it since his curiousity got the best of him.

It would be a brave soul to first try Bleu Cheese, or oysters, or what not.

I used to love eating ice cream and drinking beer. Phish Food and cans of PBR.

And, I've had Guiness ice cream and a stout ice cream, both delicious.

Maybe one day I'll get some gluten-free beer and try this concoction. It takes my belief that all drinks should have snacks (cherries, olives, shrimp, etc.) to a new place.
