Are propane bottle safe?

I've got a small camping stove with the small propane bottles, will the heat + cold+heat make them explode?

This will be my 14th year using them without incident. But that's only anecdotal.

We use those every year. Keep them from direct sunlight while storing and if possible, keep them under your car, not inside. The cold will not have any effect on them.

Only if you throw them in the fire. If you drop by Gigsville and don't ask nicely*, they'll probably demonstrate.

They will be fine. They have a built-in pressure release valve to keep them from popping. You should keep them in a ventilated area for this reason.

Tried that. Doesn't even work. The vessel splits a seam and the goodies sort of ooze out in a jet, without banging open, throwing twisted shards everywhere. Quite disappointing actually.
