The alarming headlines came quickly Wednesday morning:

“Now It’s Getting Serious: 2017 Could See a Bacon Shortage.”
“Nation’s bacon reserves hit 50-year low as prices rise.”
“Everyone Freak Out! American Is Running Low on Bacon.”

After I regained my pulse and blood pressure came back to normal I read the rest of the story:
Bacon Shortage? Calm Down. It’s Fake News.

Could BurningMan even function without bacon? How would all the wheels get greased? What would we use to line our tummies so we could drink more?

Oh the horror of it all!!!
Deviation from the norm will be punished unless it is exploitable

If we have a trade war, US exports of about a million tons could be affected. We will be swimming in bacon!

It is kind of like a year or two ago for some reason a university lab ran DNA tests on various lunch meats. They found human DNA present in a few....
