Hunting a Bus

Post by QueenPriscilla » Thu Jun 16, 2022 7:53 pm

Usually the middle of our theme camp (Priscilla, Queen of the Doof! @ G & 6:45) has a big pink bus standing in the middle of our two shade structures, providing structural support, a shelter and a great viewing platform on the roof. We are an Australian camp and have been locked down in Melbourne VIC so we had to sell it a couple of years ago - no more bus!

WHAT WE NEED:
We're on the hunt for a bus we can rent or a structure that may tick 2 out of 3 boxes (provides support to our shade structures and provides shelter) for us and our centrepiece of the camp! Our funds are minimal for this year due to the cost of international flights and storage lump sum payments but we do have some budget for renting of infrastructure.

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:
Allocated land that you can camp on at our address
Woodfire pizzas
Honoured guest at our Dildo Olympics
A ticket to Burning Man for someone that provides a solution to our missing centrepiece

Love from, Priscilla xoxo

hey hey, do you happen to have a photo of what your bus set up looked like at past burns? I may have something available, although it's not pink...

Hello apologies Dusty Hugs - I didn't see your reply until now. I have a photo attached - we'd love any suggestions or help and also we are very adaptable so if it isn't pink or if it has three legs we could still make it work!

Much love,

Queen Priscilla

Hopefully something there works out. If not, and your camp uses a rental truck to haul your gear to/from the playa, you may be able to use the truck as a makeshift central structure. For a relatively minimal cost, you should be able to get either a tarp (possibly even a pink one) or a canvas that you can use to cover the front-facing side of the vehicle. Though a chunk of canvas will cost a few dollars more than a plastic tarp, you can paint the canvas tarp easily... and whichever you go with should be able to store fairly easily to use in future years (at least until you're able to replace that awesome bus. Good luck!
