PVC structure attached to the ceiling rods on the top of the 10 x 10 x 7.2 ft kodiak tent

Has anyone ever built a PVC structure attached to the ceiling rods on the top of the 10 x 10 x 7.2 ft kodiak tent?

Skyy mentioned this on this post:

viewtopic.php?t=91001#p1204657

If anyone has any details on how to build something like this, please let me know. I am currently looking for the appropriate:

1. pvc pipe diameter
2. size of the bolts/nuts.

I am very surprised that this isn't more popular (on the internet) than a monkey hut solution considering how it is much more compact and easier to fit into a sedan/suv. Are there any red flags i am not seeing?

Red flags …

Other than PVC pipe costs micenuts compared to a Kodiak.

I don’t think anyone was bold enough to risk bending the poles on the tent, which is a predictable outcome.
