Not really. Go ahead and start one.
It's going to be alright.

A co-camper's dad joined the heebee jeebee healers last year and had a great experience.

I think the thing to do is research the various camps out there and then ask if you can join in and what you can do to contribute. If nothing seems appealing then do something yourself and contribute in what way your can., the goal is to be a participant and not an observer. If anyone says different then ignore them.

First camp for sure, thats where all the old farts are camping :)

Larry is 59.

There are plenty of us out there with more years behind than ahead. Actually, a big chunk of the population has failed to grown up over the past decades ... but we have gotten older...

Our camp is 64 to 18 this year. We're part of a larger village Hushville, and we love first timers. No generators, no amplified music and LNT, you must preregister. Go to www.hushville.com and check it out.

Oh, I'm 50 this year.

I'm sixty. See my "Mature Person's Guide to Burning Man" from my first time at:
http://www.cieux.com/bm/bmmtr.html
which was in 1996. This'll be my 12th Burn. Also see
http://www.cieux.com/bm/bmtoc.html#perennialGuides
for the First Timer's Guide, Second Timer's Guide, Things You Didn't Know You'd Need, and more.

There are no special camps on account of age, nor is there any need for them. Show up. Have fun. Repeat.
