big theme camp-sound camp last year consisted of big tipis. Seemed to work okay

Teepee's work just fine, aside from the little detail of transportation. Problem is, that for any decent sized teepee, you end up with HUGE posts. If you have the means to transport it, then by all means, bring it. It should hold up in the wind if properly secured.

The transportation aspect is the reason why so many people bring domes. They pack down small and go up big.

Root Society seemed to use them last year to great effect. You might want to check with someone from that camp for personal experiences.
