Rebar

Post by KingofSpirits » Tue Jul 08, 2008 7:48 pm

what would be my best bet on getting my hands on some rebar? my last times I went, I was staying with a theme camp and someone else had provided me with some spares. This time though it just dawned on me that I don't have any yet. I'm in the Bay area so where would be my best place to get some?

check ur local hardware stores. Lowe's, Homedepo or ace hardware or somethin. I would imagine they would ahve some there. Sense me and my friends bought a bunch of steel poles for a dome. 600 bucks.

Home Despot definitely has them in precut lengths. They cost about $3 each if I remember correctly.

I agree, most home repair places where you can buy concrete or redi-mix may also have short peices of rebar for support of sidewalks and driveway repair. I saw earlier today on Craigslist Sacramento Material, a guy had 150 pieces of 20 foot rebar for $800 bucks. You can get 7 candycanes from a 20 footer, each a little shorter than 3 feet long. Some place closer to your home might even be able to cut and bend your pieces. Scrap pieces can also be found at construction sites, but I'd ask before picking stuff up.
