So I was getting ready to build this years dome, but after calculating prices for materials tools and shipping (I'm in FL)
Was kinda getting bummed out. ($$$)
Long story short; scored a sweet deal on a ready made 6 vector 24' diameter dome that has been to the playa before.
I've built and set-up 2,3,4 vector domes but cannot seem to locate the diagram for assembly of a six vector?
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Most of the site I've found don't have diagrams past 4v
Also this dome has 555struts at an average of 2.4 feet and about 200 bolts...but should be super strong and climbable rigt?

You might share with our dear readers what your struts are, and maybe why the seller wouldn't talk to you.

The struts are 3/4 emt.
I never said the seller would not speak with me, but the person who's selling it was only the keeper of the dome, not the builder. Also my friend and fellow Campmate is picking it up in Oregon and meeting us on the playa and I am in Florida at the moment.
Seeing eye, thank you! Thats exactly what I was looking for, the images and instructions they have are clear and concise.some seeing eye wrote:Domearama!com

Should be climbable if the climbers aren't too fat or bouncy, but I wouldn't let people climb it for sport, and probably shouldn't concentrate heavy loads on just one vertex.

Re: 6 vector dome assembly tips?
That is a tough dome, but depends on your weight. At that strut length it's easy to climb with your feet around the vertices. Do not put your body weight on the center of the strut. I would bring a wheeled scaffold, the dome will be too heavy to build top down and I doubt you can build it bottom up by climbing. A scaffold also makes for a great observation platform and can be shared with other dome camps.
