Monkeyhut - buying materials in the UK

Post by jaymeekae » Mon May 18, 2015 3:08 pm

I want to build a monkeyhut as a shade structure and potentially for cooking inside. This will be for use at Nowhere (spain's regional burn). We are looking at the plans here http://www.chromatest.net/Lovemonkey/

However, it seems that "Schedule 40" is not a thing in the UK. PVC here is sold using a class system, Class C, D, E , 7.
I have found conflicting reports about which is equal to Schedule 40. It seems like it's either E or 7.
Has anyone tried using this kind of english PVC for the skeleton of a monkeyhut? Will either be fine? Class E says it has a higher pressure rating (15 bar versus Class 7's 12 bar rating) which made me think E would be stronger... E is also the cheaper of the two. Should i be looking at something else entirely?

Any help massively appreciated! Thanks!

Oooh that does look intriguing. The walls being uprights would be way more useful. Going to read this through properly now. Thanks!
