Finding one's fellow posters: How?

How does one find one's fellow ePlaya posters at BM?
If my (stretched, internally-braced) yurt works out, I'd like to show it off.

If it doesn't :( I never even went.

But if it does, how do I bring supporters and skeptics by?
And how do I find others to see what they did, so I can steal their ideas and do even fancier next Burn?

Ratty has a book project; she's placing notebooks at strategic camps (Elliot's, Eric's, ?) where eplayans can swing by and enter their camp address and stalk other folks addresses.

There is also the annual eplaya Meet and Greet at Barbie Death Village, 5&E, on Wednesday at 6pm.
You can find most of us there; come early for sober interactions. :twisted:

Many of us also list a camp in our profile over there -------------->
If that camp is placed and has chosen to publicize its location (FB Burnermap, unofficial google map of BRC, various mobile phone apps, the map you got at the gate last year and will likely get again this year) then whee! You're done.

You can also PM specific people to ask them if they mind sharing where they plan to camp and how to find them for this purpose.

Erm...........I don't think that is BDV address this year.

AND because of where placement put Elliot on the plaza, the logistics won't work out for TinyMystic.

Sooooooooo we'll be aiming for the original address at 5&H!!! 8)

I'd suggest the ePlaya Meet & Greet on Wednesday night, there's also a thread about faces to go with names around here someplace, and a lot of people actually post about where they're camping. If there are particular individuals you'd like to try and connect with, they may have a camp name listed in their profile, or have posted about where they'll be, or you could just ask them via private message.

Pro tip - let your campmates know what your ePlaya user name is, in case that's different from what they may know you as.

Good luck connecting with folks!

I found AntiM last year through the time-honored tradition of "wandering around blindly and walking into camps that looked cool." She was sick, somewhat miserable, and considerably irritated at a neighboring camper.

Playa Info has a kind of amazing Camp Directory and you may wanna check there.

You can search for people and add your own info to the database via computer kiosks that are connected to PlayaNet.
