I didn't involve to any camps. Is it too late? I'll be alone and this is my first year so any recommendations about that? Please I need help.
Thank you
Maybe maybe not. Finding a camp is not like finding a hotel. More like finding a good partner. What are you providing? And dont tell us what a nice person you are, everyone thinks they are great. Tell us where you are from, what you are good at, what really interests you. Then you might get lucky and find a camp.
Yes I do.Lonesomebri wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 2:04 pmDo you have a ticket?
Are you counting on a camp to provide you anything?
What are you bringing?
Have you read any of the resources about attending?
But to answer that question from you;
Yes, it's too late.

Camping alone is a great idea especially your first year. No commitments but an excellent chance of meeting friends for life. First thing is to say hello to all your neighbors, offer a beer or help them set up.
Good luck.
Be sure you read and understand the Survival Guide and First Timers Guide before you do anything else.erann wrote: ...No I didn't read a lot.

Sorry forgive my ignorance. It's gonna be my first burn ever.
Also I want to ask do I have to pay for the camps? I sended an email to a camp yesterday they said there's a $500 camp share.
Wow thank you this was helpfulsome seeing eye wrote: ↑Thu Jul 26, 2018 8:07 amHello, Welcome to ePlaya!
1 Go to viewforum.php?f=95 and write a post introducing yourself. You can also search that forum for Turkey - maybe there are more!
2 Go to https://regionals.burningman.org/ and see if you can connect with any. You could ask on various Facebook groups connected to Burning Man who are Turkish burners https://www.facebook.com/search/groups/ ... n%20turkey
3 Read everything and all the branches and links at https://burningman.org/event/preparation/
4 Read the links under https://burningman.org/culture/
5 Make a packing list - what you are bringing from home, and what you are buying in the USA and then bringing to the event. You will also need a plan for everything you are not flying home with. https://www.google.com/search?q=%22burn ... cking+list
6 viewtopic.php?f=523&t=84208 is an introduction to camps
7 Cooking is a fine skill. Burning Man is a campout. So to utilize your cooking skills you would need to bring all your ingredients with you. Maybe that is for a future year.
8 There is an excess of DJs on the playa. If you have specialized music it can be a challenge to find a place to play it. If you have the same electronic dance music as everyone else it can be a challenge to find a place to play it
9 Some camps have posted on ePlaya that they are seeking new international burners
10 Most camps seeking campers this late have camp fees. Camp fees can run from $100-$1000 and higher. Many of us on ePlaya are unhappy about the higher camp fees.
11 Subscribe to email https://burningman.org/culture/stories/jrs/ and read 2018 newsletters that have already been published https://burningman.org/culture/stories/jrs/archive/
13 Costumes are good. Comfortable footwear for walking 30+km/day is required
You have a lot of planning and preparation to do in a very short time!
