Monkee hut + Kodiak tent ??

Post by krly » Wed Sep 12, 2018 12:42 pm

If using a monkee hut over a Kodiak (10x10) during a typical BM whiteout....how much does the HUT actually reduce the noise and movement (articulations?) inside the TENT ? And, since when it's really windy the wind seems to shift directions constantly, does it matter which way the HUT is oriented ?
Thanks

Face your monkey hut so that it provides shade and so you can sit in it and interact with passersby. Make a 'windbreak' for the back end. (Either tarp or a open weave shade cloth.) Put your tent towards the back and your 'frontroom' towards the street.

This is all assuming you are setting up on the street.

In a big wind event, even an RV is noisy, shaking, moaning and groaning.

There is no solution for wind noise and shake.
