Watch out for art cars that are sharks.

They are required to go at least double the speed limit.

and if one sneaks up behind you.............. don't look into it's eyes.
We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.

"I have run into and been ran into a few times, very easily avoidable, lights blinkies, reflectors, whatever."

I had a lantern flashlight i carried around until I left it in someones camp. It worked really well. When i transfered to blinkies I almost got hit by bikes like 3 times.

Are you sure it wasn't a boat you left it in? One magically appeared one evening on mine...

Nope I didn't get to ride on a boat even though I am sure it would have been a blast. This was 06 as well. It's possible I left it in the Waffle

I suggest buying a whole case of 'em and gifting.

The gift that gives back.

I'm always tagged/lit up at night. This post is the "Why you should wear goggles during a windstorm" (don't want to start a new Topic): Going on a short walk last year and in 10 minutes was consumed in one of the swells. My eyes were blazing and caked, was eating dust like cocoa powder. Good thing my buddy had on a pair of Willy Wonka glasses, guided me through the streets to camp. All I heard was artcar engines and bike bells (and being blind with just your ears for protection is kinda spooky.)

It can actually be clear going in one direction, with a steady wind blinding you if you are going the other way.
This happened to me far out.
People were still going out as I was getting lost finding the city.
Even with goggles, I would have been lost repeatedly.
I had posts to go by but got lost between each one.
It only takes thirty seconds to be turned 90 degrees off course and be sure you aren't.
It's one thing to read about it.
And I am good at tracking a straight line in the bush.
In open desert, it must be so easy to get lost.
I used the lasers to find my way back.

When I looked back, it was clear as a bell going the other way.
Don't get fooled.

I think if you carried this around at night, you'd be seen on the playa. I'm trying to figure out what to carry it in.
