I don't believe this is possible. Even if they're getting a few volts from it, there are much better ways to generate power than ripping apart a broken TV.

I'm guessing the "author" of the vid makes money for clicks? Pretty well done, missed some details but for many I'm sure it seems legit. To be fair, I'm no engineer, but I just don't see it.

Yalltube is full of these fake videos that deceive people for the sake of driving clicks and ad revenue. Surprisingly the thumbnail didn't show a cute woman with nice cleavage and a lose top. These videos show a result but never how it is produced.
It's an unfortunate side effect of how they handle monetization of videos. In the end I think this really hurts the platform.

So interesting. Very much more scientific, but you _can_ recover optical glass and indium-tin oxide and use other bits for a different kind of solar cell you can make yourself. NOT making it directly from just the panel, some real processing and chemistry to go into it, to make your own solar cells. But real cells. Not that other kind of clickbait crap.
