this is the pecking order. Starts at top and goes to bottom with top having priority in being the stand on vessel and having right of way top down.

Otherwise if you see red lights they have the right of way. There are lots of other rules for special circumstances.

I think the overarching rule is 'avoid a collision.' (And seriously, that's the rule - although I've paraphrased it.)

Yes, that is the formal, legal pecking order but it is never a good idea to assume that anything takes precedence over The Law of Gross Tonnage. That's how ya get squished.

As for being a darkwad, if I wear lights the clowns will find me.

If you are riding a bike and being a darkwad (bikewad?), then there are some problems.

I think "darkbikewad" was a villain on He-Man. Really, one of Skeletor's minions.

I already bike with extra lights in default world, so I can't see any reason I wouldn't have even more lights on the playa. (I can always hit the clowns with my parasol.)

Well lets' see now...
A darkwad isn't overtaking, (he/she's usually on collision course) not under command doesn't apply no matter how empty-headed they are, and they're certainly not restricted in maneuvering.
We've all got the same zero draft so that one is n/a, there's no fish, they're not powered unless they're a mutant vehicle too and the planes have to land at the airport. I could understand giving the windsurfers a clear path, but other than that I'd still say it's about the tonnage!

I have run into and been ran into a few times, very easily avoidable, lights blinkies, reflectors, whatever.

Add some alcohol to the mix and it gets even scarier. Just a modicum of prevention goes miles on Playa.
