2010 Video/DV/Film/Digital Camera Personal Use Agreement

Post by much2naughty2 » Thu Aug 12, 2010 7:23 am

One of my last tasks is to get my cameras taged and have the Video/DV/Film/Digital Camera Personal Use Agreement all ready when I get to the gate. I can only find a link to 2009 agreement. Has anyone seen the 2010 link?

I was wondering the same thing myself.
Another question: if my camera doesn't shoot video, do I still have to register it? I've heard answers both ways. :?

The agreement from last year can probably be used again.

Or, you can just get a blank one from Playa Info, which is where you get your tag anyway. (The Survival Guide also says you can get agreements at Gate this year, but I have not verified that. You still need to take it to Playa Info or Media Mecca.)

As to getting "all" camera's tagged. Some people are confused by the phrase "All video and film cameras" because they do not go on to read the rest of that paragraph, referring to filmmakers.

If you are shooting film movies or video, then you need a tag. No moving pictures, no tag.

you can get your camera taged at the greeters station, just ask for the form, they have tags there.

[/quote]This includes all digital still cameras that are capable of capturing a few seconds of video.

I assume all "video capable" devices, including digital cameras and cell phones need to be taged. I also assume the greeters station entry will go faster if I show up with the forms all filled out.

With two weeks to go, I would think that something like this form would be updated by now.

If you don't use it during the event (such as your cell phone), you aren't going to need to get it tagged.
