Android apps for on-playa?

Post by LittleJack » Tue Aug 20, 2013 11:06 am

I will be taking an Android phone without a SIM card (so WiFi only for connectivity) this year, mostly for taking pictures, the Time to Burn app, and if I can easily find convenient WiFi, to call my mom on her birthday with Skype. I will absolutely not be checking email, facebook, fetlife, etc. - the cyber world can happlily thrive without me for 10 days. I'm experimenting with an Android phone as a tool to increase immediacy, not decrease it. That said, please let me know if there are other cool apps that you'd recommend.

Great idea! I put that on my regular phone, which I'll use to listen on my way to the Playa. Between BMIR and Audible books, I'm ready for the drive.
