You could scale that concept up a bit without much trouble. ;)

(technique to gather them. used to do this to be able to collect them to photograph)
I don't want to gather the little mofos, I want them to burn in hell.

Blacklight umbrella was a smashing success. I didn't get any good photos of it but I got stopped many times for photos; hoping someone got a good shot they can share!

Ok so i realize this is an old thread but i have question and based on what ive been reading you guys are probably the best to answer it. So im a welder (hints the screen name) and i want to paint my new hood (protective face shield) however i want to incorporate a glowing element that hopefully the light emitted from the welding arc will charge. What type of paint should i be looking for? How long will it glow and will my idea even work?

Would it not make way more sense to start a new thread? Your question has very little in common with the original (ancient) thread

Yeah, a new thread would probably be best.

To quickly answer your question: any glow-in-the-dark pigment should work because I believe your welding arc will emit copious amounts of UV light that would charge it up. It'll glow for minutes to many hours depending on much pigment, and how high-quality the pigment is.

Take a look at the LIT pigments at Culture Hustle for some high-quality, glow-in-the-dark pigments in a variety of colors.
