Where to buy LED's
Last year was my first and because of my monetary situation at the time I had to buy almost everything cheap. My cheap LED lights petered out on me after a couple days so I'm wondering if someone can tell me where; either online or retail around Los Angeles to get different kinds of LED lights for my bike, myself and whatever else I think of that are good quality this time. All help appreciated.

For your bike I wouldn't worry about buying the best. Most of the money people spent on el wire 2 years ago is now down the toilet. It was expensive and now it's broken. You have plenty of time to buy junk on ebay, (only the listings with FREE shipping). I probably have 30 or more strings of battery lights that I haven't used. They don't break that often. If you would have asked this a month ago I would have sent you to the dollar store.

Adafruit, Cool Neon, MCM and Digikey. are usually quality. If you want to learn about or build LED projects probably Adafruit or Cool Neon.

I've gotten personal lights at ExtremeGlow which have been pretty nice and a better deal than you'll find for some of their stuff. They have a 10% off BM discount code every year on the list that BMOrg has on their site. Consolidate your order with friends so that you save on shipping and quantity.
For some simple lighting, just get some of those battery-powered fairy lights on Amazon or wherever. They last a long time, use AA batteries, and you can wrap them onto costumes or bikes or whatever. Just don't strain them too much as they're not the strongest material.
EL wire can suck it. Don't buy it.
As suggested above, you can also learn to build your own projects and buy the parts on the net for it. Lots of personal lighting tutorials and kits at Adafruit.
