Those beautiful laser cut city map necklaces

Post by scmodstyle » Mon Sep 02, 2013 5:44 pm

All around the city I saw people in beautiful laser cut or etched pendants of the BRC city map. I had a look around etsy and kickstarter schwag but can't seem to find who made them. Anyone have a lead for me?

They were probably just gifts, not something you buy around the net. A friend in our camp would give each person a metal engraved pendant bearing our camp name and year. It is cool stuff, but it's ultimately an individual's work.

Are you talking about these? (Some have the city laser cut, some the tree, some flames.....and a few rare ones have a unicorn cut out.)

I do love those and got one while on the playa but alas no the item I'm looking for is an intricately cut metal map of the city, so intricate it shows every single street.

Maybe it was actually an alien artifact made with advanced refining and lithographic methods.... or just some dude's random gift.

In that do-ocracy spirit I came up with a design inspired by this year's city map, found someone with a laser engraver and made my own. Here's the finished product.

Beautiful! Very nice design.

yeah, beautiful. not sure if you know, and no big deal, but, the city outline (property) is a pentagram, with the man lined up apex to mid point on the base.

I believe you meant pentagon. A pentagram is a different beast altogether.
The next morning you will wake up pretty much your old self except that a very unusual 16 hours will have been added to your store of life experience.

well, my only excuse, is, us Nordic Pagans, don't use the pentagon, and none of the Runes is even close. It's more a modern day Wiccan sorta deal.............

Wow! Those are the best city map ones I've seen yet. I've always been on a quest for pendants but I've never met anyone giving them out.

Since I've been asked by a few people via PM, I'll share where we had them made for anyone else who is curious: http://www.logotags.com/custom-metal-tags/index.html
