Non-evaporation bucket cooler for East Coast?

Postby Leap » Tue Apr 25, 2017 9:26 am

Hi Folks,

I'm exploring bucket cooler options for the humid East Coast regionals. Has anyone had any good success with coolers like this? I would keep it outside and use a duct to push the cooler air into the tent.

You've gotta have enough time and surface area to cool the air down sufficiently as it passes by the cold block of cold water/ice. I don't think there really is enough space/time for that air in that bucket cooler. You might be better off just soaking a towel in cold water and wiping down.

A genny + air conditioner would probably be best for humid regionals. You really need that refrigeration cycle to cool that air.
