Well, so BDV is really international place and I was thinking what if we bring the flags of our countries (and USA states?) to show to the Black Rock City who is ruling the world?

I think it would be great and actually quite impressive... as far as I can see - Lithuania, Belgium, UK, Czech, Australia, Canada, maybe Romania, do we have Germans, French?, is someone from Sweden coming?

Lets see what you think and what we can collect

Interesting idea, but really don't all those flags (along with all the plots of land separated by imaginary lines called borders) belong in the default world.

I've seen it in a few camps, but that nationalism just seems out of place on the playa.

Now. Was it 2009 that had the man on a scaffolding with flags from every country hanging on the side? One of my favorite "small moments" is passing the man base after the billion bunny march and seeing that someone had hung a "Bunny Nation" flag on that scaffold.

But that's an age old strategy - tell people over and over again how good something is and a certain percentage of them will believe it regardless of the evidence from their taste buds.

I saw a commercial earlier trying to convince me how good some potato chip tastes - and quite frankly since they removed the transfats that brand now tastes like salty cardboard.

Just a little update. Felony and I just spent some camp dues on glowstix. We bought 100 pink and 250 different colors. No need to be darktards on the playa. We thought 350, plus what was left over from last year, should get us through the week.

there's nothing about glowsticks that it is "green" except maybe the green ones that are actually the colour green.

They are a delightful, albeit wasteful, stick of joy that one might have qualms about using, but if it's wreck the planet or get run down because you are darkwad I know what I'm going for.....

As you can see elsewhere on the board, I don't really see that as anything but a single use (for the week rather than the night) item. The biggest problem with chemical glowsticks is that they end up on the playa floor. I like bbadger's idea of putting them in a jar...

lol no im saying getting the LED sticks would be greener then the crack glow sticks. Sense those end up in the landfill and on the ground. I sent out an email to the company and this is what I got bar from Life gear-

For the Glow Sticks we have Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, and Sky I can sell them to you for 1.10 per unit ( the ones with the flashlight and whistle)
The Eco Stick I have in Purple, Red, Blue and the price for those would be 0.50 per unit.
