camp warp zone writeup from 2011

Post by igor47 » Fri Mar 23, 2012 2:48 pm

hi guys! do you remember Pipe Dream from 2011? maybe this will jog your memory:

well, my collaborator WELCOTAR did a nice writeup of how we built this thing. you can read it here:

we also have a time lapse video of us putting it up during early man: ... bm2011.ogv

pipe dream might be back on the playa again this year, assuming we can somehow find enough tickets at some point. look for us in the 4:30 sector. i promise, you've never climbed anything more awesome!

I love your writeup.

Makes me wish I'd spent way more time at the 4:00 side.... Your neighbours were on my list of places to go, but we all know how THAT works out.

But I seriously love your writeup. It's honest and fun and just says it all for me.

I'm hoping that this line "It even made a more solid noise when tapped" means that as many people PLAYED as played WITH it. (memories of bridge-playing with my brother David).

Thank you for the structure.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
You ARE Burning Man, and I love you for it.
Worry is a misuse of imagination

She had blue skin, And so did he.
He kept it hid And so did she.
They searched for blue Their whole life through,
Then passed right by- And never knew.”

Looks like fun!

The wind escape flaps on the lamp gave me an idea for a wind block I'd like to put together for the 2012 burn.
I'm the MAN in a truck, burner who is stuck, you're in luck! I'll whip out my BIG tow chain and not charge you, not even one lousy buck!
