Exiting N from Gerlach; is there a back way for Exodus?

I'm heading to Klamath. A wait in a queue seems silly if I'm heading North, rather than to I-80.

Is there a rear gate that just allows me to hit 446N through Cedarville?

Official info only, please.

No rear gate, all participant traffic exodus happens through the same main gate road that is used for entry.

That's my route. Everyone shares 8 miles of pavement to the Y. If you don't need to go into Gerlach for fuel - meaning you have enough fuel to get to RabbitTrax in Cedarville, you will have smooth sailing. Watch for cattle in the road.

It is thoretically possible to take 34 North, but it is gravel after the work ranch, I think to the California border, no services, no phone reception. Most of it is on StreetView. It would be similar to the not-recommended Jungo Road through Sulphur.

I've been through the Cedarville route several times. Heading to Eugene after Klamath. Seems like a big fuel waste to queue that way, but I get it. My vehicle burns a lot of fuel on idle; wish it were different. It's a heavy diesel truck and it's low-idle makes the stinky guy in line. NV34 isn't good. And Jungo Rd is now paved almost the entire length from Winnemucca to Empire, so it's not as bad as before. Nonetheless, I don't take either because of the possible service cost if I break down.

I'm gonna blow your mind...

You don't have to idle your vehicle while waiting for exodus to pulse forward. Turn it off. Get out. Socialize with your exodus neighbors.

I'm pretty sure Jungo Road is not paved. It is not even a state road anymore. It's main use is for trucks from the mine in Sulphur. Some residents of Gerlach were just out on Jungo Road filling in a small washout with shovels.

Friends of Black Rock High Rock, most of whom live in Gerlach, are a great resource for local conditions.

To me, the main advantage of the pulse is so that you turn the vehicle off. Gate & Exodus crew will give warning before it starts back up again, and from there it cascades through the line as people return to vehicles and start their engines for the next pulse. In the meantime, conserves fuel, doesn't run the engine/burn oil/etc, and makes for an opportunity to stretch legs and socialize.

From my experience in late June, the road is not paved. It becomes a dirt road a couple miles north of where the Burning Man turnoff is. I wasn't on it the whole way to Winnemucca, as I was just in the Gerlach area, but it ended right around where I remember it always ending.

Turning off the engine, rolling the windows down during a pulse pause and socializing is good in theory, but confounded by asshats from BLM Police agencies and GPE perimeter speeding around just on the other side of the Exodus lane fence, stirring up clouds of playa dust.....and of course-the inescapable whiteouts that stop all exiting traffic.
