Tri-County Fair on Labor Day Weekned in Bishop ... it shouldn't affect hotel availability since travel will likely be on either side of the actual Fair.
But, you probably still want to get a room early!

Already on it!!! But thanks for the advice. We're staying at America's Best Value Inn. Was the cheapest "name-brand" hotel I found. Now, I should follow my own advice since I think a Bishop stopover is in the cards for me, too.

I paid $72 for a room with two queen beds. They had a cheaper rate if I was willing to pay upfront, but you never know what could happen in 5 months so I wasn't willing to do that. I think I would have saved $10 or so.
