Giant Grocery store in Reno that isn't Costco

I like Trader Joe's, and Wild Oats (I think that's what it's called, we only have Whole Foods here on the East Coast). But if you want more cheap and less hippy-dippy, there's a Safeway around.

Like the previous poster said, check the civilized explorer for exact locations.

WinCo Foods just East of the freeway (US 395) north of downtown
at N McCarran Blvd exit next to Walmart. Both are 24/7

Way cheaper than most name brand stores (e.g. Safeway
or Raleys) Caution: I found out last year WinCo is cash only.
No credit cards.

My fav thrift store is near there: A huge Savers store on Oddie
Blvd, North side, about 1/2 mi East of the US 395 freeway.
they have long hours (9pm? weekdays) and are open Sunday
Also a Lowes and a dollar store nearby.

Skibear knows all!!!!! Winco is the best no card and great prices open 24hours.

If comming from highway 80 head North on 395 for about 1-2 miles (you'll pass Oddie BLVD where the savers is just make a right off the freeway into oddie and then go to the second light make a right and savers will be on your left hand side) get off on the McCarran and head right. Make your first right off of McCarran and you'll see Winco and Walmart.

I may be a little late in posting this but Winco now accepts debit cards as well as cash.
