Directions for the Directionally Challenged

Post by Petal of the Playa » Mon Aug 20, 2007 8:05 am

Hello - I am 6 YEAR Burning Man vet - but believe it or not - I never have drove to BRC on my own. I either followed someone or was the passenger. Can someone from the Roseville/Sacramento area give me directions I would greatly appreciate it. I have looked here on the site and have those directions, but I need more details like road marks and such - please be kind. Thanks!
It only seems kinky the first time...

Ahh, good ol' Sacra-tomato!! I am heading there after BM for a family and friends visit.

I am terrible with directions. I went to mapquest.com and got the driving directions to Gerlach and it was a breeze from there.

Good Luck!

There are lots of online mapping services. See

for links and descriptions of about a dozen.

Take I 80 east. Don't get off until you see Loves gas station in Fernley.
Fuel up, stretch your legs, get extra ice (if needed )(water if needed).
Meet other burners doing the same thing there and follow them North
