driving times - advice - SF to Reno

Hi, my firends and I have been coming to BM for a few years but never from the west before.
This year we will be driving down to SF from Vancouver and I was wondering exactly how long it takes to go from SF to Reno and what to expect on that leg of the trip.
Any advice?
Also anything we should do while in SF - we will only be there friday afternoon (the 27th) to Saturday morning (the 28th) and then we plan to drive from SF to Reno on saturday.

The drive from SF to Reno on a Saturday morning should be pretty easy - about 4 hours max depending on gas stops and potty breaks.

My partner and I as well as our truck for our theme camp plan to leave on Saturday and stay the night in Reno Saturday for an early morning run to the playa.
