Storing van till next year
Storing van till next year
Hi everyone, I'm an Australian who has been travelling around the US for the past 2 months and looking for suggestions for somewhere to store my van until next summer? Ideally it would be somewhere as close to the Bay Area, but would be fine with storing it anywhere within a few hours of LA or SF.

If you look in SF, you'll find a few places, but it'll cost you a small fortune. You may want to consider Sacramento or Fresno, or some other not-too-far-away places, you'll save a bundle.

I'd suggest some place that is close to the rail or bus route you can take from the airport. There are a lot of smaller towns with cheap storage, and if you can take a train or bus to the storage place (or at least close) you won't be as reliant on other people to transport you.
Look in the east bay if you're looking in the bay area. Far east bay.

Or Sparks if you're feeling less formal.

Thanks for the replies.
I've found some places in San Jose that are about $70 p/month for outdoor storage which is pretty reasonable. Everywhere I found in SF, oakland, berkley, etc was double that.

^ My gf is a US citizen but lives in Australia now. We used her parents address in Boston to register the car.
