We are a first-time Canadian theme camp shipping unaccompanied goods in a truck. Anyone know what address you put when you're filling out a form 5586b sending unaccompanied goods? Or a form 3299? A destination address is required by customs, but Black Rock City addresses don't exactly look real.
Also, anyone have any general advice for foreign theme camps sending unaccompanied goods (speakers, shade fabric, big stuff that we don't want to fly down)? We're supplying copies of passports, photo IDs, itemized lists, etc for all 10 or so of us who have personal goods on the truck, but we're worried we're missing something in the paper work. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks! Help appreciated!

Giving this a nudge to Transportation, since that's a better fit for transportation logistics questions.
I'm sorry to report that you're woefully late to make such an arrangement. The deadline for Outside Services registrations closed in July, unless your carrier already has both the Burning Man outside services situation sorted and a BLM permit, you're going to need to make other arrangements.

Thanks for your reply. How do I post this in Transportation?
I'm not sure what you mean about being late. We have a theme camp permit -- everything is sorted with Burning Man. Just concerned about crossing the border from Canada into the U.S.

It sounds like there may be some confusion - there is no such thing as a theme camp permit. If you're a registered and placed theme camp that's great, but being placed does not automatically cover you for any other permits or registration that you'd need to sort out, or any deadlines you need to meet.

I'm not the head of our camp so I probably don't have the names of all the permits down. I'm not worried about Burning Man - we have all the permits we need there. I'm just worried about crossing the border into the US. Any help/advice on that appreciated.
