Your bicycle U-lock is NOT safe, on-playa or off! Read this!

From the happy-go-lucky folks over at, how to open a Kryptonite U-lock with a BIC pen body.

If you use a U-lock for your bicycle, or a circular lock for your laptop, this might be a really good read. (Videos included.)

Oh, it's going to be a fun time on the playa next year... :-)

I read about that some time ago on slashdot ... I want to say several months ago, but I am not sure. Almost as good as the show I saw once about how to defeat "the club" with a can of Freon and a hammer.
