Burner Express Ticket Sales Launching May 8th!
I've just gotten word from BMHQ that they've still got a few more ducks to get in a row, and subsequently will be delaying the launch of Burner Express ticket sales until May 1st May 8th.
I know, lots of you are excited to jump on board and get your reservations booked...but it's incredibly important to make sure they've got everything in order so there aren't any hiccups or problems with the reservation system. Hang tight, and they'll get those gates opened up on Thursday May 1st Thursday May 8th.

Does anyone remember whether the bus tickets sell out, or if they just order more buses to meet demand? I want to know whether I need to decide between the bus and renting a car (both have their pros and cons) by May 1 or if I have more leeway.

Re: Burner Express Ticket Sales Launching May 1st!
You don't have to get on it on May 1st.
I'm not sure that last year's experience will give much useful information. It was the first year with the option, and there was probably lots of learning on both sides. People who wouldn't have considered it last year, may, because it went down so well. I'm guessing that this year will inform next year better than last year will inform this year.
And Trilo will get on here and tell me why I'm wrong...

If you can get a busload-sized group together, they'll consider charters from additional cities.

I've just gotten word from HQ that the start of ticket sales has been pushed back one more week. I've edited the thread title and first post, please re-set your calendars for the new date.

Will they be offering ticket sales through the summer? I haven't seen anything about closing ticket sales. I am worried if my plans fall through I won't be able to get a ticket.

Is there a schedule for expected bus arrival times on playa? My art car and I want to be able to meet the bus and take people where they need to go.

They are estimating 3-5 hours from Reno into the city on the BXB website. I pasted the departure times here:
http://theexpresslot.com/burnerexpress.php
It looks like a 2pm-7pm window, but then ya got the "playa time" factor to consider.
We're hoping to be placed adjacent the BXB Depot. If so, you're welcome hang in our camp!
Re: Burner Express Ticket Sales Launching May 8th!
The support form hasn't gotten me the answer to this yet, so I'll ask here: I don't have Early Arrival. Can I take the 11am bus from Reno to BRC on Sunday?
Re: Burner Express Ticket Sales Launching May 8th!
Riv, I'm sorry but without an Early Entry pass they won't even let you on that early bus.
Just Joe, Hey, I can't wait to meetcha. I'm a Greeter and I'll be Greeting at the Bus Depot this year. (I hope). Greeters have a 6 hour shift there. 2pm till 8pm. We'll even have a bell for the virgins. I love your new theme camp. Bussed-in burners need all the help they can get.

I wish the website called out what the earliest Sunday bus normal ticketholders could take! Is 2pm the only safe option? What happens if the bus gets to the gate before 6pm?

I would hope the could get in before six.. The bus will take four hours.. When It gets to about Gerlack it will go on playa time.. The car/van/truck burners will be lined up bumper to bumper.. That would be 11 miles..
I'm the contraptioneer your mother warned you about.

Hey Ratty! Great news. I heard that they may be putting a bell at the Bus Depot. I look forward to meet in' ya.
Re: EA
Last year, the first buses rolled in at around 5pm on Sunday. Not sure when they departed RNO/SF, but I know they weren't EA holders.

Re: Burner Express Ticket Sales Launching May 8th!
There are no early arrivals on Sunday - placement's not issuing them for that date, period. Sunday buses are regular schedule, and do not require an early arrival to board (if I remember correctly, any bus that has an early arrival pass requirement states it pretty clearly when you book it).
Re: Burner Express Ticket Sales Launching May 8th!
Thanks Trilo! I finally got a reply from their customer service--all Sunday buses are fair game for regular (non-early) ticketholders!
Re: Burner Express Ticket Sales Launching May 8th!
Wow! Great way to jump the line. I hope I'll get the Sunday shift to hug you and welcome you home.
