Planning Arrival After The Gates Open 2015

So is it safe to say that arriving Monday will be no faster than arriving Sunday? I've got a fellow camper wondering if he'll have an easier time getting in if he waits for the Sunday rush to pass. Does anyone know when the initial gate-opening madness subsides (if ever)? Thx for all the helpful info here.

"I don't know" is the only honest answer. If it rains Sunday, Monday will be hell. If it rains Monday, he'll be waiting until Tuesday.

I have to say, your burn starts when the traffic slows down enough to get out of your car and talk to your traffic neighbors. That can happen anywhere along the route after Fernley (Though it gets to be more likely the closer you get.)

That's the 2014 Census. So peak entry was Sunday. Monday was less with a second peak on Tuesday that I'm guessing was due to the rain closure.

And Monday very few got in because the gate was closed most of the day.
