Motorcycle transportation logistics

I am in a bit of a pickle here (hopefully with a simple solution). I will be road tripping before and after burning man in my adventure van. When I travel I like to bring my street legal enduro motorcycle on the rear carrier in case of a break down I have a second mode of transportation to get parts/tools to fix the van. I also do a lot of enduro adventure riding for fun while I travel. Now the problem is (and correct me if my facts are wrong) you can not bring a motorcycle into burning man if it's not your primary mode of transportation to BRC.

Loophole: a vehicle pass is not needed to ride a motorcycle if it's your sole means of transportation into BRC. So, if I have someone riding with me in the van can I simply unload the bike before we hit the playa and have my buddy ride it in to the camp site? I have no intentions of using it during the burn...duh.
