Golf Cart for Mobility Problems
Greetings fellow Burners! My wife has some mobility issues and will be having a difficult time walking. We are planning on attending the 2017 event and would like to bring a golf cart for transportation around the playa. Anyone have any experience with this? Will I be able to secure a permit for this golf cart due to my wife's mobility problems? Thanks!!

If she has a state handicap placard, there is only some paperwork, and meeting the deadlines.

Hello and welcome to ePlaya, a good group of useful information (sometimes)!
The Burning Man Organization has rules for powered vehicles. For a good reason, most of the deaths at the event have been from motor vehicles. But the Burning Man Organization honors alter abled individuals above and beyond in a wilderness environment.
Rules go to licensing by the DMV - Department of Mutant Vehicles.
Practical help goes to the Mobility Camp of volunteers.
Both will be very busy the next month then recovering after. Suggest in the subject email contacting DMV "disabled" "2017" and contacting after September. They are busy helping your colleagues now!
I have been a very small volunteer to the first mobility camp. Search for Mr Fixit Burncast Mobility 47 or find it here http://burncast.tv/audio/.
Costumes, decorate your ride, meet people, have fun, participate!
