northwest burners traveling hwy 31 by Summer Lake Hot Springs and Paisley

There is a pretty large brush and forest fire about a mile east of Summer Lake Hot Springs. It has stayed on the south side of the highway and crested the Fremont Ridge south of the hot springs. The town of Paisley is threatened.

It reads like the highway is open, but if you go that way be prepared to see what fire can do.

not a plug for these folks, but a lot of folks stop by on their travels, and it might be worthwhile checking with them to see if they are affected by the fire.

Thanks for the info, EspressoDude! We were looking forward to a dip at the Hot Springs on the way home and will keep an eye on this.

Looks like the fire as of 8/22 which was yesterday was 85% contained and far away from the town of Paisley.

Should be no problem any longer.
