Burner Bus and Water

When a person rides the burner bus - they are able to purchase water in advance- this I know.
Do they have to transport everything all at once to camps (a challenge) or can they come back later that day and pick up their purchased water?

Anyone have direct experience with this process?

Last year they posted, pre burn, that you had to pick up water all at once by a certain day, may Wednesday?? But that did not work so it was changed on playa. Last year I could have picked up water twice. I assume it will be pretty close to the same this year.
A lot of the collapseable water containers are BS, they crack and leak or else they are big enough to count as another bag on the bus. I don't have a good suggestion other than to buy carefully.
