I'm not afraid of you, theCrypyofishist! (Probably because people on other internet forums I have used are WAY snarkier - or downright mean - than you.) And good thing I'm not, because I got my ticket offer just after midnight (I was at 12:18:16 in the cue) so it looks like I can make it to this meet-and-greet after all (if I can manage to search through eplaya to figure out when and where it is). I guess a bunch of the Sunday/Monday STEP offers just expired and us 12:18ers are getting the sloppy seconds. But hey, we'll take 'em - sloppy or not!theCryptofishist wrote: *gnashes teeth and mutters, we just aren't doing enough to discourage attendance at the meet'n'greet*
Note: The preceding is an example of snark--toothed humor that we on the board direct at each other. It's meant to be light-hearted, but occassionaly people mistake it for actual hostility. I realize that bringing this into the ticket threads, where so many people not used to the board's tone, might add to the confusion. Everyone on this board is welcome at the meet'n'greet.
Disco - you from Ventura? I lived there for 16 years.DiscoBall wrote:I'm not afraid of you, theCrypyofishist! Well, sort of. From Thousand Oaks in Ventura County. Ventucky is a Ventura-based camp with members also scattered around in Camarillo, Santa Barbara, Ojai, Simi Valley, and even a handful in LA. Do you know any of us?Dis)'(rack wrote: Disco - you from Ventura? I lived there for 16 years.
Way to narrow it down, Arnoldo . . .Arnoldo wrote:Thank you all so much for the kind words and support! This burn is going to mean more to me than I ever could have anticipated! I can't wait to meet all of you at the meet and greet. I will be the guy with a shirt that reads 12:17:?

Thanks, Bounce530. I am brainstorming some kind of STEPchild (Cinderella's ugly STEPsister?) outfit to wear to it, but drawing a blank so far.Bounce530 wrote: Here's 31 pages worth of Meet-n-Greet info-

Forgive me if this discussion went on long before I joined this forum, but I bet you could figure out what your detailed time stamp is. I thought I was 12:19 because that is what my incoming email said, but went I went to "View Source" (in Hotmail) on my email options, a new page of source code opened up and I could see that the message was sent at 12:18:16. In Yahoo! mail, you can do the same thing with the "View Full Header" option under the little thing that looks like a gear. Haven't figured out how to do it in Gmail yet. Not sure what email program you are using, but it is likely that you can see the full header somehow.Arnoldo wrote:Thank you all so much for the kind words and support! The seconds never really mattered to me, so I could care less! I got my STEP ticket and that's all that really counts!!DiscoBall wrote:Forgive me if this discussion went on long before I joined this forum, but I bet you could figure out what your detailed time stamp is.
