I'm curious to see as the tier awards come in if they are drawing from highest to lowest tier. (If I were a betting man, I'd say that that's what they will end up doing. And that will just piss me off even more than this cluster fuck has already.)

I assumed it would be from Pacific time zone since the HQ is in SF, but the times are an hour ahead of here (California). Maybe they're on Playa time.

My understanding was that folks who could only afford T1 would be drawn from the T1 ticket pool, then if any T1 tickets were still available, they would be added to the T2 ticket pool. Then all the T2 people would have a shot at T2 tickets. If there were any left then they would go to the T3 ticket pool.

Given the wording that people in other pricing tiers would be "eligible" that drawing process could be applied too. I think what we're going to see a lot of complaining about after this drawing is over is that the "official word" was that the drawing would go cheapest-to-most-expensive and that those people betting on that potentially got screwed out of a cheaper ticket.

Whats really interesting is that Tier 3($390) and Tier 1($280) were receiving confirmations first?

What would be interesting is to see who got a ticket from a tier lower than what they selected as their max ticket price?

I think the person reporting the Tier 1 $240 ticket was mistaken and that all the most expensive tickets went out first (or at least their emails). I'm also curious about how many people from higher tiers got lucky to be drawn later; that will be a more exceptional case than previously expected.

actually, i think it's the DST setting that needs to be OFF this time of year.
dunno why the silly thing can't figure that out on it's own. I know if i were in Arizon, i might be using a differnt DST setting than others in the same time zone, but it should at least default to the most 'normal' setting...

I don't really know how computers work but I was thinking maybe the system did the random selection starting with the lowest tier continuing until all tier selections had been made, then would unpile tiers reverse sequence as it collected payments & sent out confirmation emails....

Yeah..... or something like that anyway. Most of us plan in advance of the ticket, actually. I start in September or October each year.

I can debunk that claim right now - I know of a lot of people personally, who won't be able to go this year, but have been able to go every year for close to a decade. Something has changed, and it wasn't from their end. This stinks!
