Help me report scalpers to BMORG
Help me report scalpers to BMORG
I found some scalpers I want to report ... How do I do it?
I keep hearing that we need to contact BMORG and let them know ... but there doesn't seem to be any easy way to do this. I've made it my new mission to find and report every scalper I can regardless of whether or not I get a ticket. And I'm sure other people feel the same way ... but maybe we could get a little help here.
Can someone who's "IN" with BMORG tell them to setup an e-mail address or something where we can send info about scalpers we've found?

Under "contact" at the bottom of the main ticket page:
partiserv (at) burningmn (dot) com
(double check that, I did it from memory)

This is what it says:AntiM wrote:Under "contact" at the bottom of the main ticket page:

"By all means, please e-mail us at partiserv(at)burningman(dot)com if you have any important questions you would like addressed in the Burning Man ticket FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and we will do our best to accommodate! "
It doesn't seem like they would want reports sent here. And if they do then they should make it clearer.
I've sent a message with this request to that address ... but haven't heard anything back yet.

Re: Help me report scalpers to BMORG
I have sent reports there and gotten answers as recently as yesterday. They're a bit overwhelmed just now I'd think, but that is indeed the correct address.
If you click "contact" you get this message:
For general ticket questions NOT relating to an online order, email partiserv (at) burningman (dot) com (Please NOT use this email address for anything having to do with an online order!)

I guess the part that confuses me is that this DOES have to do with an online order ... just not mine.AntiM wrote:For general ticket questions NOT relating to an online order, email partiserv (at) burningman (dot) com (Please NOT use this email address for anything having to do with an online order!)

I can see that. But it is the one I used and got a solid reply about taking down the guy on eBay.

Awesome!! Thanks so muchAntiM wrote:I can see that. But it is the one I used and got a solid reply about taking down the guy on eBay.
I'll keep sending things their way ... hopefully they'll make it clearer that we, as part of this great community, have a very direct way to fight against scalpers!

I wouldn't flood them with complaints, they're just the worker-bees. They are well aware of the stubhub and other reseller outfits, it is the individuals who need swatting.
Thanks for stepping up!

Yeah ... I spoke with someone directly who was offering to sell me tickets. It wasn't via stub-hub/e-bay.AntiM wrote:I wouldn't flood them with complaints, they're just the worker-bees. They are well aware of the stubhub and other reseller outfits, it is the individuals who need swatting.

Let's hope they can curb that, I think they can!
